Invest WindsorEssex is a not-for-profit supported by the City of Windsor and the County of Essex, responsible for advancing economic development to grow and sustain prosperity in the region. As the lead economic development organization in the region, Invest Windsor Essex provides confidential and expert assistance to companies and entrepreneurs in all sectors.

Working with a distinguished Board of community leaders, the CEO will drive the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive roadmap for economic development across the region, with emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion (EDI). This includes developing and executing strategic plans that leverage ongoing economic development initiatives while prioritizing initiatives that ensure equitable access to opportunities for all members of the community. In a globally competitive, knowledge-based economy, you will position the region as a preferred destination with a diverse workforce and a forward-thinking growth agenda. Act as a principal relationship developer with businesses, public institutions and other key stakeholders in the region. Set priorities, create performance metrics, leverage and allocate resources and promote continuous learning with your team. Support even greater consolidated efforts in business retention, small business start-ups and overall economic growth for the region. Essential to the CEO’s mandate is ensuring a collaborative and inclusive environment within Invest WindsorEssex and across the broader community.

An accomplished leader, you are adept at working with Boards, government representatives, corporate decision-makers and community leaders. A compelling speaker and presenter, you have likely built your economic development credentials with a large municipality, government agency, Board of Trade or in a marketing-driven organization. Leveraging superior communication skills, you model excellence, respect, and trust. You champion diversity, equity, and inclusion while establishing strong relationships with diverse stakeholder communities, and thrive in complex, changing environments. Invest WindsorEssex is the lead not-for-profit economic development corporation responsible for advancing economic development to grow and sustain prosperity in the Windsor-Essex region. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator / Office Manager to oversee the daily administrative functions of our office and lead clients in grant-funded programs.


Reporting to the Executive Director of Automobility and Innovation, the Administrative Coordinator / Office Manager is an integral part of the Automobility and Innovation Centre (AIC) who works with a multitude of stakeholders including job seekers, government organizations, and corporations.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage grant program logistics including scheduling, data, expenditures, metrics and reporting to ensure compliance with grant requirements
• Communicate program offerings to eligible grant participants and stakeholders
• Maintain participant records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all reporting and record-keeping activities
• Prepare reports related to program outcomes, participation, etc.
• Coordinate schedules, meetings, events and training sessions
• Oversee day-to-day office operations including reception duties and bookkeeping
• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning
• Provide administrative support to the leadership team
• Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and events

Education/Skills
• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Management, or related field
• Proven experience as an Administrative Coordinator, Office Manager or similar role
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Client Relationship and Project Management tools
• Experience with bookkeeping, financial management and grant management
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, negotiate and resolve issues
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; customer service-oriented
• Organized with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Knowledge of Ontario and WindsorEssex Automobility Ecosystem
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends if required
