Workplace ready: Job coaching & interview skills

Are you preparing for upcoming job interviews or entering the workforce for the first time? This interactive workshop is designed to help you feel confident, prepared, and ready to succeed.

The session will cover essential workplace habits, including a strong work ethic, preparing in advance, reliability, and understanding your rights and responsibilities under the Employment Standards Act (ESA).

Participants will also gain practical interview skills, including what to do — and what to avoid — during interviews, how to answer common questions, and how to use the STAR method to respond to behavioural questions effectively. Guidance on professional appearance and dressing for success will also be included.

Additional employment support and follow-up guidance will be available for those who need it.
