Join us for a half-day AI readiness workshop designed to help businesses prepare for the increased visibility, competition and opportunity that comes with the opening of the new Gordie Howe International Bridge.
AI Readiness for Business Growth is a hands-on workshop designed to equip participants with the confidence and skills needed to use AI safely and effectively in their businesses. Attendees will explore hands-on tools they can implement right away to improve productivity, customer engagement and decision-making, while working through tailored examples relevant to their specific industries. Participants will walk away with a strong foundation in applying AI strategically, positioning their businesses for sustainable digital growth. Participants can also connect with other local business owners and community partners over breakfast and casual networking before the workshop begins.
This workshop is facilitated by Sofie Andreou, M.Eng., AI Strategist & Educator, Trent University Micro-Credentials, and Founder of AI Coffee Break Learning. Sofie works directly with organizations to build AI confidence, literacy and responsible implementation practices.
Participants will explore:
- What AI actually is (in plain language)
- Real-world business use cases (marketing, operations, admin, customer service)
- Hands-on prompts to improve competitiveness and productivity
- AI video and digital presence strategies
- NotebookLM demonstrations
- AI chatbots, automation and business applications
AI governance, security and responsible use (including an AI Use Policy Workbook template)
AI Readiness for Business Growth is hosted by the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre through the West Windsor Business Development Program. Funding for this event has been provided by the Gordie Howe International Bridge Community Benefits Plan.

No technical or AI background is required to attend, however, you’re very welcome to bring a laptop for the hands-on portions of the session.
This is completely optional — you can fully participate by watching and following along — but many people find it fun to try things live.

- Google users: please ensure Gemini is activated in your Google Workspace
- Microsoft users: please ensure Copilot is activated in your Microsoft environment. No worries if this isn’t set up — demonstrations will be guided step-by-step.

- This workshop is free to attend, but a refundable deposit of $25+HST is required to reserve your seat
- The deposit will be refunded within 3–5 business days following the event if you attend
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the event will receive a full refund
