Ontario investing in the Advanced Manufacturing sector in Windsor

A 250K investment will boost local manufacturing procedures and create 5 new jobs

WINDSOR – The Ontario government is investing $252,000 in Moddulx Inc. to support the advanced manufacturing sector and create 5 new good-paying jobs in Windsor–Tecumseh.  The funding will be used to build a new 16,500 sq. ft. manufacturing facility to house Moddulx and its production line of composite panels.

The funding was announced today by Andrew Dowie, Member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor–Tecumseh

“This investment in Moddulx Inc. is a strong example of how our government is supporting local innovation and advanced manufacturing right here in Windsor–Tecumseh,” said Andrew Dowie, MPP for Windsor–Tecumseh. “By helping businesses grow and create good-paying jobs, we’re building a stronger, more resilient economy and ensuring our region remains competitive in high-tech and high-demand industries.”

Moddulx Inc. is a newly established manufacturing company under the parent firm ACH Engineering Inc., which specializes in cleanroom solutions and high-tech facility design. Moddulx Inc. focuses on the production of high-quality prefabricated composite panels for modular cleanroom to be utilized in the advanced manufacturing industry such as automotive and EV battery manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and aerospace.

The new Moddulx Inc. facility will manufacture composite panels with advanced manufacturing properties such as antimicrobial and non-combustible characteristics, making their products ideal for use in industries with strict cleanliness and safety standards.

The funding is provided through the Ontario Regional Development Program’s Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.

Ontario is investing $180 million through its Regional Development Program to help manufacturers across the province grow while supporting distinct regional priorities. To date, Ontario has supported more than 135 projects through the program, leveraging more than $1.9 billion in new investments and helping to create over 3,500 jobs.

  • To date, the RDP has supported over 165 projects, leveraged $2.1 billion in investments, and created more than 4,000 jobs in communities across the province.
  • In 2022, the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness (AMIC) stream of the RDP was launched to support advanced manufacturers across the province. Ontario is now providing additional funds to enhance the AMIC stream that will help more firms with the financial support and tools needed to improve competitiveness, while strengthening essential supply chains.
  • As part of the 2025 Ontario Budget, the government is enhancing and expanding the Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit, providing an additional $1.3 billion over three years to help lower costs for businesses that invest in buildings, machinery and equipment that are used for manufacturing or processing in Ontario.
